Learn to code
like it’s a game.
CodeQuest teaches HTML, CSS, and JavaScript through quests — a real in-browser editor, XP and badges as you go, and a gallery to show off what you build. Nothing to install; just start.
Real editor
Write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript in the browser and see it run instantly.
Quests
Lessons structured as challenges — clear goals, one step at a time.
XP & badges
Progress you can see, so it’s satisfying to keep going.
Gallery
Share what you build and see what others have made.
What is CodeQuest?
A gamified way to learn to code. You work through interactive HTML, CSS, and JavaScript lessons in a real in-browser editor, earn XP and badges as you go, and share what you make in a community gallery.
Do I need anything installed?
No. The editor runs in your browser, so you write real code and see it work without setting up tools first. That’s the point — get to the satisfying part fast.
Is it only for total beginners?
It’s built to welcome beginners, but the quest structure keeps going — so it stays useful as you level up from your first tag to building real little projects.
Why XP and badges?
Because momentum is what gets people to stick with learning. Turning progress into something you can see keeps you coming back — which is when the skills actually land.
