What is ORA?

A governance-first orchestration backend for AI. It runs and coordinates models, tools, and agents on your own hardware, through a single private gateway — so everything the AI does is routed, recorded, and accountable.

What does “governance-first” mean here?

Most AI tooling bolts safety on after the fact. ORA starts from governance: who is allowed to do what, what gets logged, and what an agent is permitted to touch are the foundation, not an add-on. Orchestration is the mechanism; accountability is the point.

Is ORA the same as PulZ?

No — they’re two separate products that work well together. ORA is the orchestration gateway that runs and coordinates AI on your hardware. PulZ is the deterministic governance kernel — the guardrails layer. Related in spirit, distinct in job.

What’s it built on?

A Rust core for a fast, dependable gateway, exposed over HTTP/WS and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) so MCP-compatible clients can discover and run tools through it. It’s in active development.
